Pearson Test of English (PTE) is a computer-based test that is used to test non-native English speakers’ language proficiency. This test is taken for both immigration and study purpose. An online test requires the use of a computer and a headset. Taking the PTE takes less time, and the test consists of four parts: reading, listening, writing, and speaking. Speaking and writing are done together in the PTE. The total time for the test is 3 hours and there are more than 295 test centres.
There are several universities that recognize PTE and the results are available within 48 hours of taking the test. Pros of this test is that it is less time consuming and results are published faster in a few days after test date, which able students to take test again and improve the target score quicker.
